This our modest little garden this year!  Brad was very excited about the "Topsy Turvys" that you see hanging.  We have tomatoes in the green one and cucumbers and strawberries in the red one.  Basically, the theory is that the plants grow down so that gravity helps to bring the nutrients right to the fruit. We'll let you know how it turns out!

Our watermelon plants.  Wow...I guess it's time to weed!!

Our first 2 tomatoes!  The ones in the ground are called "Early Girl" plants.  Apparently they mature early.  (Hence the name!!)

MY first haircut!

So, I gave Alexander a haircut this morning!  My hairdresser is in the Bahamas right now and we are traveling to see family this weekend.  He was looking pretty scrubby, so on a whim I got out my huge craft scissors, put on Elmo, and went to town!  Terri (my hairdresser) has given him 2 cuts and I watched very closely.  I don't think I did too badly!  Especially with him squirming, pushing my hand away and screaching like I was pulling his hair OUT instead of just cutting it.

Babysistting Amelia

Brad and I went out to his dad's house last Friday to watch Amelia because they had a wedding to go to.  We had SO much fun!  They live on a lake so we went for a walk to the beach.  Amelia is 10 months old.  For those of you who don't know Amelia is Alexander's aunt.  She is Brad's sister.  Alexander and Amelia had a great time together!

That is one talented Daddy!  Maybe we COULD handle another one...Yea right!!!

This is the best game EVER!

How fun is that?

Pat a cake, pat a cake baker's man...

Do I HAVE to go to bed???

A laugh?

I saw this bumper sticker the other day and I almost had to stop the car because I was laughing so hard!

Ginormous s'mores and lotsa laughs!

On Friday we had Barry, Natalie, Lydia, and Tabitha over for s'mores. Natalie's sister Connie and her daughter Brianna joined us later. We had SO much fun! I found these SUPER size marshmallows at the store. It required two full graham crackers and an ENTIRE Hershey's bar!!! It was epic...

Well there you have it folks!

Brad makes the most perfectly toasty marshmallows.  Would you expect any different? ;o)

Sugar high anyone?

THE FENCE IS DONE!!!!!!!!!

Ain't it purdy?

Those are our fabulous installers.  David is in the green and I have no idea who the other one is.  He didn't speak much (by much I mean any) english!

Stop and Smell the Roses!

My Nanny gave me a rose bush last mother's day and Alexander discovered it!  So, I guess we should all follow suit and stop to smell the roses!!

It has begun...our heros at Italia Fence came yesterday and installed the posts for our fence. Aren't they the most beautiful posts you've ever SEEN??? When I look at them I see freedom! I see sanity! I see RELAXING!!! (I also don't see my son getting hit by a car or eaten by a vicious [i'm not exaggerating] dog that lives next door!) All of that means "YAY" in my book!

Alexander loves them too!
